MAS Youth Center

Built For Youth,

Co-Led By Youth.

By having youth as our core focus AND as our leadership, we aim to truly embody what it means to be a youth center. The Prophet (PBUH) intended for the masjid to be a place where the wants and needs of youth are a priority. He extended his prayers just so children could play on his back (Nasaa'i, Ibn Asaakir, and Haakim), and cut his prayers short to relieve distressed children and their parents (Bu khari). If the duration of salah, the most sacred act of worship, was adjusted to cater to the needs of youth, then perhaps everything within the masjid should be as well.

Mission

To move youth and nurture lifelong, God-centered agents of change. Through our various services that range from the spiritual to the material, we aim to foster and nourish a community of young people rooted in faith, guided by Islam, and constantly seeking to create good in this world.

Vision

A vibrant American Muslim community striving for a just and virtuous society.

Our Services

Our center was established in 2001 with the aim of creating spaces, programs, and resources that allow the Muslim youth community in our city to thrive in every aspect of their lives. Our services include sports programs, trips, camps, mental health counseling, marriage services, academic classes, and various other activities that foster spiritual growth, vital life skills, mentorship, and social connections to last a lifetime.

Our Commitment

We believe a masjid is more than just a place for prayer. It’s a place that young Muslims should consider a second home. That means within our walls, youth should always feel supported, empowered, and welcome. Whatever age or life stage our youth are currently at, our center will create a safe space and cater to their needs. Our full-time working staff upholds these goals through tireless planning, outreach, and volunteering.
